End the cycle of poverty by plugging the skills gap – Ramaphosa
Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa says children should be exposed to career choices much earlier in life because they will then “make informed” career choices.
“It is about ending the cycle of poverty, overcoming the devastating legacy of apartheid and colonialism,” Ramaphosa said addressing the national skills conference in Centurion today.
Higher Education Minister extends skills strategy to reach goals
Higher Education and Training Minister Dr Blade Nzimande has extended the timelines for implementing this strategy, which aims to increase access to education and training opportunities, to March 2020, as the first set of implementation goals have not yet been reached.
NATIONAL SKILLS CONFERENCE HEARS CALL TO ‘HELP US MOVE TOWARDS 2030’
The Deputy President, Mr Cyril Ramaphosa, has called on delegates attending the National Skills Conference in Pretoria to help the country move towards the 2030 vision as contained in the National Development Plan.
